HEY, I’M MAX.

I am a product design student with experience in product design, design research, and service design.

I began my college career in mechanical engineering and through these introductory classes I discovered my interest in concept development and the design process. In 2020, University of Kentucky founded a new Product Design program, and I quickly became excited about the possibilities the product design field offered.  After completing two years of mechanical engineering courses, switching majors was daunting, however, I discovered a true passion for design. I have also been able to utilize my mechanical engineering background to strengthen my designs through critical thinking skills and applying mechanical engineering theory.

As a kid, I grew up making model cars and airplanes as a hobby, developing my love for craftsmanship and creating. I always wanted to find new innovative solutions to little problems that occurred. These mindsets are what I believe to have drove me to product design.
